Ready to plan an awesome girls’ weekend? Check out this in depth itinerary for an Asheville bachelorette party of girls’ trip! Asheville is a beautiful town situated right in the mountains near Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s a hipster’s haven, a foodie’s delight, and a hiker’s paradise. Asheville also has TONS of fun breweries and bars. There’s plenty to do outside as well from hiking to zip lining to tubing down the river.

Asheville is the perfect long weekend getaway, so this itinerary is geared towards peeps in NC and nearby. It’s about a 3.5 hour drive from the Raleigh/Durham area. There is a small airport for friends that may be flying in from farther away and luckily, it’s conveniently located right next to Sierra Nevada Brewery 😉 Back in 2019, I had my bachelorette party in Asheville (my husband actually had his bachelor party there on a separate weekend, too!) and ohhhh my gosh was it fun! Asheville has always been a great destination but I feel like it’s grown in the bachelorette scene over the last several years. And for good reason… between amazing breweries, hikes, and a great food scene you will have a jam packed weekend full of fun.

How to get to Asheville
Asheville is located in the western portion of North Carolina but is relatively easy to travel to! For those residing in parts of Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina you can hop in your car and be in Asheville in just a few hours.
Asheville is just 3.5 hours from Durham and Raleigh, 2.5 hours from Columbia, SC, and 3.5 hours from Blacksburg, Virginia.
Coming from a bit farther away? Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) has over 60 flights daily from many big cities on both the East and West coast!

Grand Bohemian: For the ultimate mix of trendy boutique and understated luxury, you’ll love the Autograph Collection’s Grand Bohemian hotel. It’s located right next to the Biltmore and features a restaurant and spa for the ultimate convenience.
Hotel Indigo: The trendy Hotel Indigo is the perfect stay in downtown Asheville. Their penthouse suite is the perfect size for bachelorette parties!
The Cambria: I stayed at The Cambria on my recent solo trip to Asheville and loved this sleek, modern boutique hotel in downtown. It’s walking distance to many downtown spots and is the perfect no fuss stay.
Omni Grove Park Inn: If you want a wellness getaway tucked into the hills outside of Asheville, you’ll love the Omni Grove Park Inn. It’s famous for its retreat-style vibes and top-notch spa.
Vacation Rentals
Vacation rentals are always a good idea for a big party! Airbnb isn’t allowed in the city proper, but there are tons of unique and roomy stays just outside the city! We stayed at this amazing Airbnb that had two conjoining apartments, so we had tons of space and it was absolutely adorable!
What to do in Asheville

Asheville is an outdoor lover’s paradise! If the weather is nice, you’ll want to spend all your time outdoors enjoying the beautiful views.

Hiking: There is no shortage of amazing hikes right outside of Asheville. Two of my favorites are Max Patch and Hawk’s Nest, both less than 30 minutes outside of the city.
Amazing Pubcycle: Is there anything better than trying out a bunch of breweries and being with your friends? Doing it on a pubcycle, of course! Enjoy several stops to try a bunch of local breweries while pedaling around town with your bach group!
The Biltmore: The Biltmore is a must do when in Asheville. Especially if you visit in the Winter or if the weather isn’t great, it’s a great way to escape inside. The tour is jaw dropping to say the least. And each ticket gets you a free wine tasting at the Biltmore Winery, too!
LaZoom Bus Tour: These bus tours can be seen zipping all around the city and everyone always seems to be having a blast! For a mix of history, comedy, and downright fun, your group will absolutely love the LaZoom Bus Tour.
Where to eat in Asheville
Asheville has no shortage of amazing places to eat. The hard part is picking where to go with just a weekend!
Sunny Point Cafe: A staple for breakfast or brunch! There’s almost always a wait, so get there early.
Farm Burger: The best burgers and fries to be had in downtown Asheville
Chai Pani: Chai Pani is consistently recognized as a place you must eat in Asheville. Enjoy authentic Indian street food at one of the best restaurants in Asheville.
Curate: TAPAS. I love a good tapas restaurant. Curate is one of the best!
Rhubarb: Rhubarb is a little bit upscale with a farm-to-table menu and meals you won’t soon forget.
White Duck Taco Shop: The unique and delicious tacos from White Duck are an institution. It’s the perfect place to grab lunch while hanging around downtown.
Tupelo Honey: Southern food and excellent hospitality. Tupelo Honey is a class restaurant for brunch in Asheville.
Where to drink in Asheville

Breweries
- Burial Beer Co.
- Green Man Brewery
- Hi Wire Brewing
- Asheville Brewing Co
- Wicked Weed
- Wicked Weed Funkatorium
- New Belgium (beautiful views over the river!)
Cocktail Bars
Sky Bar: Rooftop bar. Need I say more?
Antidote: Antidote has the best craft cocktails and vibes. You will love it here!
Off the Wagon Dueling Piano Bar: PROMISE ME you will go to the Dueling Piano Bar! It’s just what it sounds like–two people playing piano in a duel. It’s an absolute blast.
DAY 1, Friday
Meet at Sierra Nevada: Sierra Nevada in Asheville is a branch of the main Sierra Nevada brewery in California. It’s right near the airport, so it’s the perfect place for everyone to meet! So, even if no one is flying in, I find this to be a great place for your first day because it’s a bit out of the way from some of the other breweries downtown. (Read: it’s easier to drive here before you can no longer drive and need an Uber, if you catch my drift) Sierra Nevada is absolutely beautiful with tons of amazing outdoor space and a garden. Their food (and beer, of course) is also excellent if you’re hungry after your travels!
Head to your Airbnb/hotel: Once you’ve gathered all your party, head to your accommodations to drop of your stuff and get ready for dinner.

PS- if you book your hotel through these links, I get a small commission. Thank you for supporting the blog! 🙂
Head to dinner at Curate: oh my gosh you will NOT regret Curate. Let me preface by saying I’m obsessed with tapas but either way this restaurant is excellent. Tapas is perfect for a group setting and Curate brings the yummy food, great vibes, and a good wine selection.
After dinner, head out for drinks at 5 Walnut Wine Bar.

DAY 2, Saturday
You can either grab an early breakfast at Biscuit Head or cook at home before heading out on your adventure. You all know I’m a fan of saving a bit of money where you can!
On day 2, you’ll want to spend some time outside, weather permitting! You’re in one of the most beautiful towns in North Carolina so you gotta take advantage. Your activity for the morning will look a little different depending on the season. If you’re here in the summer, you MUST go tubing down the French Broad River. This is what we did and had an absolute blast! ZenTubing was excellent and provided everything we needed (except the beer, of course!).
If you’re celebrating your Asheville bachelorette in spring or fall, I would go hiking! What better way to enjoy the beautiful scenery?! There’s hikes for all skill and enthusiasm levels. My favorite recently is Hawk’s Bill Rock. It’s a decent distance and not too difficult and has an amazing view at the end.

In the Winter, if you want to stay inside, head over to Biltmore village for a tour of the Biltmore Estate!
After a full morning of adventures, grab some lunch at Twisted Laurel, Haywood Common, or Farm Burger. Make sure you fuel up because you’ve got quite the afternoon coming your way!!!
Get ready for a marathon not a sprint: Brewery hopping in downtown Asheville! You can’t spend a fun girl’s weekend or bachelorette party without checking out a handful of breweries. There are over 30 breweries within Asheville and the surrounding area, so there’s something for everyone. My tried and true favorites?

You are sure to run into other fun bach groups and bar hoppers alike! Have fun!
Not into a marathon beer drinking event? Spend the afternoon at the luxurious Omni Grove Park Inn spa. What better way to celebrate your upcoming nuptials than spending time getting a facial or relaxing massage? The spa here is famous and I’ve heard the indoor pools are ahhhhmazing.
Depending on how your afternoon goes, you may want something casual and keep drinking or a dedicated dinner. If you’re looking for the latter, head to Wicked Weed Brewpub to catch some yummy eats. Otherwise, Chai Pani is amazing Indian street food. Sounds weird while drinking, but trust me. It’s delicious.
Hit the town and enjoy the lively downtown scene in Asheville. PROMISE ME you’ll go to the dueling piano bar, Off the Wagon. It is the MOST fun for a girl’s weekend. Other bar options include Sky Bar, Antidote, and the Crow & Quill! We especially loved Antidote for the ~vibes~.

DAY 3, Sunday
After a night out, you’re going to want to limp to Sunny Point Cafe to soak up all of last night’s indulgences. Sunny Point is one of the BEST breakfast spots in Asheville, so it’s sure to perk you right up!
If you’re feeling up for it, head to Blue Ridge Parkway for a nice leisurely hike and some Vitamin D. You can also explore the bustling downtown area full of shops, art, and plenty of people watching.

If you’ve stuck around long enough for lunch, be sure to hit up the famous White Duck Taco shop before heading home! You won’t regret it.
Head home. All the fun was had and you should probably get some sleep 😉
Final thoughts/recommendations
Asheville, North Carolina, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains makes for the perfect bachelorette or girls weekend. I could do this weekend over and over and over again with friends! Tubing down the French Broad is one of my favorite memories ever. Between the outdoor activities, the amazing food, and the incredible beer scene, it just makes for a PERFECT Asheville bachelorette party or girls’ weekend. You can choose to enjoy a luxurious afternoon at the Omni Grove Park Inn or go hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway. No matter what you choose, you’re sure to have a blast with your gal pals at your Asheville Bachelorette party!
