hi! I’m ashley
The short version: I’m a full time young professional with a mile long bucket list. I started this blog as a way to share my love for travel and exploring more with limited PTO. In my spare time, I can be found planning trips, walking my dog, and binge watching Parks and Rec.
the long version
After graduating from physical therapy school in 2019, I quickly fell into “adult life.” I loved my job but it always felt like something was missing. I spent all my time planning trips I didn’t think I’d ever go on and just dreaming a whole bunch. This was amplified when COVID hit in March 2020, and the cabin fever really set in. I dabbled in vlogging and knitting and even tried to convince my husband that we should quit our jobs to travel the world. (I obviously failed since we are both gainfully employed).
After our first big trip together in September 2020, I got the idea to just start a blog. I started out slow and inconsistent but realized I could make this blog into something more. This blog inspires me to travel even more and think outside the box to get away without using up all my PTO. This space has inspired me to create a niche of young professionals who love their career but also want to see the world. And here we are!
I work a full time 8-5 job and I encourage others to travel near + far without quitting their jobs or living in a van. My itineraries are efficient, clear, and allow you to make the most of your precious PTO! I love a mix of mainstream and off the beaten path, so here you’ll find guides that allow you to see that Pinterest worthy scene that’s been going around social media as well as figuring out where the crowd-less gems are!
Expect lots of places you can bring your dog and lotssss of good eats! Ice cream, anyone?!
When I’m not traveling, I can be found working as a pediatric physical therapist, drinking wine, going to a workout class, reading, hiking with my husband and dog, or planning our next trip.
